When I used to work for a company, I always ate out on the way home from work.
What should I eat today...? I always ate out. My life changed when I found this one ramen restaurant.
The moment I took one sip of the soup, I was so shocked that it went beyond being delicious into being "Amazing!" Ramen is a standard when eating out. I had eaten a lot of it, but it was completely different from any other ramen I had had up to then. The inside of the restaurant was so lively, and the heat from the steam was blowing into my face. The aroma from the soup filled the inside of the restaurant, and there was a long line of customers outside.
I can still remember it vividly. I wanted to learn all I could about this ramen's flavor! And then before I knew it, my goal became wanting to similarly excite customers with this flavor. I quit my job at the company the following day, and started down the path of studying ramen. The learning process was very difficult, and there were days when I cried over how timid I was. But that period of studying it formed the basis for who I am now.
In March 2000, I managed to open my restaurant in Kanda that had been my dearest wish. I devoted myself to each bowl of ramen to carefully make them so as to satisfy my customers, all while not forgetting about that passion I felt back then. Although meager, I feel fortunate as long as I can help bring joy to my customers.
From now on, Kanda Ramen Waizu will continue to serve plenty of passion to our customers. Thank you for your consideration.
